This is a story of a family, talking about passion. A family with viticulture in the DNA, a land buried by the sun and heated by the periodic lava flows, a vine whose origins are legendary. The Lacryma Christi and other great Volcaninc wines story is written by a gorgeous and wild nature and by an enthusiastic family who knows since a long time how to pamper this land growing its precious fruits. The azienda, owning to the same family since 1800, is nowadays owned by Paolo and his son Giuseppe, who dedicate their lives to the family's wine yards and to the wine-making art.

Day program:
Departure in the morning from Amalfi Coast by car/minibus. Driving along the Amalfi Coast you will be impressed by the beautiful panoramas discovering over your eyes: Amalfi, Atrani, Maiori, Cetara, Vietri, the small beaches, the high mountains collapsing into the sea and the Maiolica - tiled cupolas. Drive to Boscoreale. The beautiful azienda we have selected for the wine tasting lies just down the Vesuvius, offering breathtaking views over the Volcano and the surroundings till the sea. Introduction to the Volcanic wines, the story of the wine cellar and the legends about Lacryma Christy. Visit of the wineyards and lecture about grapes growing methods.

After the visit stop at the casolare for wine tasting and country lunch cooked with local specialties.

Appetizer: Bruschetta with cherry tomato and home- made olive oil
Wine: Falanghina IGT Pompeiano
First course: Pennette short pasta with tomato sauce and pecorino cheese or pasta with beans
Wine: Lacryma Christi white DOC
Second course: local sausage, pork underbelly, vegetables in oil, demi-spicy hard cheese, olives, fritters vegetables.
Wine: Lacryma Christi red DOC
Home dessert: apricot jam tart or apple pie
Wine: Passito fior di Ginestre

In the afternoon optional walking tour up to the crater: drive up to quote 1000, continuation on foot till the crater (all the visit will take approx. 1 hour). Alternatively drive back to your hotel.
